Tine spacing and core depth are key factors in optimizing aeration. We use only the best equipment, so your lawn may truly be the greenest. Grass wants to grow outward. We use aerators that deliver 12 plugs per square foot (compared to most other aerators that deliver only 6-9 plugs), giving the grass room to shoot out new, green blades. Our aerators pull plugs 1-3 inches deep, depending upon soil conditions. 

Power Raking (sometimes referred to as dethatching) is beneficial when a lawn accumulates a 1/2" or more of dead grass and debris at the base of the grass, near the soil, preventing air flow, as well as nutrient and water delivery. Power Raking also prepares a lawn for reseeding by creating a better seedbed.

$55 for up to 1/4 acre lot (up to 6,000 sq ft of grass)

$85 for up to 1/3 acre lot (up to 8,000 sq ft of grass)

$110 for up to 1/2 acre lot (up to 10,000 sq ft of grass)

* We DO NOT remove the grass pulled up following power raking.

We recommend that you bag it as you mow over it or use a leaf rake for cleanup.

PREPARING FOR AERATION & POWER RAKING

1. Water the lawn the night before aerating. Moist soil is key to the best core aeration.
2. Make sure the lawn is not overgrown. Mowed up to a few days prior is fine. 
3. Please mark or flag your sprinklers, valve boxes, drain covers, etc., within the body of the lawn. Items along the perimeter do not need to be marked, as we stay six inches in from the edge.
4. Please clean up after pets before we arrive.

PLEASE NOTE

We DO NOT clean up or remove the thatch or debris brought to the surface following power raking. We recommend using a leaf rake or bagging as you mow over it.

If your yard has tree roots at or near the surface, we cannot service those sections.

We are unable to service steep slopes.

We need a minimum 32-inch gate width for our machines.
