Aeration: is a key component in keeping a healthy lawn. Not only does it help break down Thatch, it helps soften soil, and allows nutrients to be better absorbed with deeper roots. It is recommended twice a year for those with Kentucky Blue Grass.

Dethatch / Power Rake: this is when it is Power raked, and it pulls up all the dead grass and debris that sits on top of the soil level. The Thatch is what keeps your lawn from looking it’s best, when you have too much that is. Trees, shrubs, cut grass build up a layer over time, and begin to block out the water and key nutrients your lawn needs to stay healthy and use a minimal amount of water. This is great as well if you have longer grass, that just seems to lay flat. Helps prevent lawn disease as well, by keeping it cleaned up. Most clients do this once a yr.

Dethatch / Power Rake $300 Avg yard. This includes going over the yard with Machine, then manually raking up all the grass, bagging it, and hauling it off. This is a 3-5 hour project itself. Based off 3500 SQ FT or less.

Any Rental will cost you $200 minimum for the machines, not to mention you need a trailer, or ramp to load it. Don't forget, it still takes to do it, and that is an important step, to do right. Time is money.

DIY DETHATCH/ I bring the machine, do the work, YOU clean up. This is the best option for those that want to save some money, and do the work themselves.
